INTERLUDE - ONE
Frantic and overwhelmed, expectations and personal inconsistencies taunt mania. A once-unexplained behavior—rabid highs and isolating lows, only worsening over the years—now finally has an answer, but no definite resolution.
These works explore the evident split between two versions of the self and the absence of response between them. Each piece is titled after unread texts, referencing the silence, distance, and unresolved communication that surround these experiences. They emerge from the overwhelming weight of doomed thoughts, the guilt of no reply, and the blurred wake of an unpredictable presence. Through a process of intentional expression, these internal occurrences become physical.
Interlude becomes the moment when the episode takes over, suspending life and transferring experience to canvas.
